A Child's Waiting is working with an African American bm age 28 due 1/27/2008 with a biracial baby unknown gender.

She is located in Ohio. She has 2 other children who reside with family members. This birthmother reports she has had previous involvement with drugs and alcohol. She suffered a brain injury as a teenager and believes that has started her addiction. She also has excema, and is on prozac for depression and schizophrenia. She reports an allergy to fish, peanuts, and walnuts. She is incarcerated until 11/21/2007 for drug possession. She reports starting prenatal care in the 2nd month. She reported to her counselor using crack and alcohol 4x's a week throughout the 4th month. The birthfather is uninvolved. She reports a domestic violence in the 4th month as well. She is looking for a married couple, who are religious, will allow the child the opportunity to attend college and would prefer this be the first child. She would like letters/pictures. She would like the names Saphire, Jacob or Benjamin to be a part of the childs name.

A Child's Waiting is working with a Caucasian BM, age 22 Due 12/20/2007 with a caucasian baby unknown gender.

She is located in Ohio. She has a 1 1/2 year old daughter who's in the care of the county. This BM reports she's been diagnosed with learning disabilities. She attended special education classes through the 11th grade. She is currently incarcerated in a step down unit for burglary. She isn't set for release until 8/2009. BM reports NO drugs, alcohol but reports smoking 1-2 cigarettes daily. She started prenatal care in August. She is getting very good prenatal care. She reports having spinal curvature as a teenager. She has had precancer cells on her cervix. The bf is involved and is signing. He reports having a history of depression. He reports his mother and grandmother have been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. He said they are both on medication and attend counseling. She is looking for a 2 parent, married couple who would commit to letters/pictures and multiple visits a year. You would need to commit to several visits at the pre-release center as well.

Morning Star Adoption Center is a Michigan licensed agency. We are seeking a family for a bi-racial child due on or about May 24, 2008.

The BM is a 23 year old African American woman. She has not received any prenatal care to date. A verification of the pregnancy has been requested. She states she will begin prenatal care in the near future. She is Medicaid eligible. BF is a 35 year old Caucasian man. He is cooperative with the adoption plan. BM and her mother are bi-polar. BF states no health problems. BM does not drink or use drugs. She smokes 5-10 cigarettes per day. Birth parents have healthy a 10 month old daughter. They are seeking a couple (prefer heterosexual), but will consider alternative families and single parents. Their preference is an inter-racial couple, but will consider all races. They are open to any religion and are comfortable with families with or without children. They would like a fully open adoption, including visits. They are open to the family living in any state. They want a financially stable family. They are currently living in a garage due to no income. BM is seeking help with living expenses (rent, security deposit, utilities, phone, food, gas, and maternity clothes).

Total living expenses could be $12000. These are allowable expenses in Michigan and will be monitored through our agency. Our agency fees would total approximately $9500.00. Additional costs to the family would be travel (to meet the birth parents and again at the time of the birth) and 2 supervision visits after the placement.

Morning Star Adoption Center, a Michigan licensed agency, is seeking a family for an African American baby girl, expected on or about November 27, 2007.

The birth mother is 29 years old and is seeking a home study approved African American family. She would prefer a practicing Christian family. She may like letters and pictures post placement, but will consider no contact. BM has 3 other healthy girls. She drank some wine coolers possibly 4x during her pregnancy. She would not drink more than 2 at a time. She has smoked marijuana nearly every weekend up to her 5th month of pregnancy. She states she does not smoke marijuana now. She does not smoke cigarettes. The BF cannot be identified other than he was African American. She gang raped by several men at a party. The BF's rights can be terminated, but no additional information will be known about him.

Total cost of this adoption, if completed in Michigan, would be approximately $10,000 plus your travel and supervision visits. BM has Medicaid, therefore, no medical expenses. Agency is looking for some families who want to adopt an African American Baby.

The birth mother has three other children, and appears to be certain about an adoption plan for this baby. She is due January. Agency has had several contacts with her, Agency does not believe there is alcohol or drug use. This birth mother will need some monthly help in utilities and probably some groceries.

Birth mother is 18 and is placing due to age and wanting to finish school. Birth mother reports she has had pre-natal care and is currently receiving Medicaid. Birth mother also reports no use of drugs, alcohol or cigarettes during her pregnancy.

Birth mother's family health history includes ADD, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, arthritis and asthma. Birth mother reports no health problems for herself. Birth mother is wanting letters, pictures and one visit a year and occasional visits for important milestones in the child's life. Birth mother would prefer an Ohio family but would also consider families from out of state if they would travel back to Ohio once a year for a visit.

She is currently attending college in order to obtain a degree that will allow her to support her 3 children and does not feel she has the resources nor the support to support another child. She has private insurance through her employer and has been receiving regular prenatal visits. Her DR is aware of her adoption plan.

She denies the use of alcohol, drugs or tobacco with this pregnancy. There are no mental concerns in the family. The expectant mom is scheduled for a C-Section on Oct 23rd. The expectant father is listed on the paper work. He is African American and 26 yrs old. They were in a brief relationship and are no longer in contact with each other. He has not provided her with any support during her pregnancy. She feels that he will support the adoption as he does not wish to parent a child. Since she does not know his current whereabouts, the attorney will attempt to reach him to sign consents and to terminate parental rights. The expectant mom is looking for a Married Traditional family with no other children. She would like them to be of Christian faith and have a loving, committed relationship with each other. She would like them to support a semi-open adoption plan with letters and pictures following placement.

If the family is open to phone calls after placement that would be wonderful but not required. The fees associated with this opportunity are $22,500 which does include everything but the families travel to Mississippi.
