We are networking for a agency. They have a Caucasian baby boy that was born 11/13. The birth mom will terminate her parental rights 11/16. The agency will choose the AP's. The birth mom has asked the agency to place the baby in a traditional 2 parent home.

The fees are approx. $30,000 plus medical of approx. $12,000. The AP will pay the hospital directly who is agreeable to payments. The birthmom was raped and father is not known. We will only accept home study couples who are ready to travel immediately. No drugs, alcohol/smoking.

A Child's Waiting is working with a BM due 1/10/2007 with a biracial girl she has 5 other children all in the care of the county or relatives. She started prenatal care in the 2nd month. She reports using crack 2x's a week in her 1st month only. She does report smoking 1 pk of cigarettes every 3 days. She has a history of preterm labor. This is due to an incompetent cervix. This condition is due to a prolapsed uterus. She will most likely not make it to her due date. She is also Hep C positive. She was diagnosed 2 years ago and her last baby, born 2 years ago was not hep c and she's hoping this one isn't either. She has been diagnosed with BiPolar, PTSD and takes Wellbuterin and Geodone for it. She is under close supervision and takes Vistidol to sleep at night. She has a history of cutting as a teen. She has scars on her arms that are very visible. She reports her mother is an alcoholic. Her grandmother had a history of mental illness as well. She had some other family history of breast cancer, asthma, excema, and arthritis. The BF is aware of her pregnancy. He has not offered her any support. He is about 6'6 and is AA. She describes him as handsome and very intelligent. She reports he makes bad choices as well. She is looking for a religious family who participates in church on a regular basis. She would like letter and pictures. She was hoping the family would agree to 1 visit a year. She has an open adoption with her 4,3, and 1 year olds family and feels they would do letters and pictures with the new family as well.

Expectant mom is having an AA baby, and does not have a preference for the race of the family. Although, it would be nice to have other children who were AA or Biracial. Here is some basic information. Expectant mom reported that she began pre-natal care in May of 07. However, agency has some concerns that she may not be attending her regular appointments. Her reported due date is 01-18-07,Expectant mom believes that she will deliver sometime in December. This is her 6th pregnancy, and several of her children were delivered between 36-38 weeks. She is healthy, and denies use of alcohol or drugs. She does smoke 1/2-pack (or less) of cigarettes per day. She may want to meet the family prior to placement, and would like to have letters and pictures from the adoptive family transmitted through the Agency. The birthfather has been notified of the possibility of adoption and he did not respond to the notice, so he has defaulted and his rights can be terminated without further consent. He is aware of the pregnancy and adoption decision.

The fees will be estimated as follows: Placement Fee $5,500 Attorney Fee $1,500 (Covers Agency, representation for Expectant mom, court appearance, notice to birthfather) Maternity Assistance $2,000 (She will be on mandatory maternity leave for 6-weeks as required by her employer. She has no other source of income as she is the only adult living in her home.

The total estimation for fees is $9,400. Includes all but final.
