Morning Star Adoption Center, a Michigan adoption agency, is seeking a family for a Caucasian/African American baby boy expected on or about April 16, 2010. Expectant mom is seeking a married, practicing Christian family (no LDS families), that does not smoke and she prefers they do not drink. She would like an open adoption, including visits. She will consider families that live long distance, if the openness plan can be worked out. She lives in the Detroit area. She will only consider families with no more than 2 children in the family. Mom is 22 years old. She has been receiving prenatal care for several months. She does not drink, use illegal drugs or smoke. No mental health issues in the family. HIV and Hepatitis are negative. Baby and mom are healthy. The father is a 23-24 year old African American man. He is not involved in the planning. It is believed he will not contest the adoption. Total cost of the adoption is anticipated to be approximately $11,000, plus the family's home study, two supervision visits/reports, and the family's travel expenses.

If you would like to be presented this mom, please send a Dear Birth Mother letter and a copy of your home study showing you are approved to adopt to Morning Star Adoption Center, 15635 W. Twelve Mile Rd., Southfield, MI 48076, as soon as possible.

Morning Star Adoption Center, a Michigan child placing agency, is seeking a family for a Caucasian newborn girl expected on or about 3/4/10. Birth mother is 42 years old. This is her third child. Her first child is now 12 years old and he had been placed for adoption as a newborn. Her second child is being raised by her and is now 9 years old. Both of these children have multiple impairments and developmental delays. They are both non-verbal, need diapers, have challenges walking, are not at grade level in school or age appropriate level for developmental tasks. Both of these boys have the same father. Birth mother believes that the childrens’ impairments are due to the birth fathers drug and alcohol use. We have not been able to obtain an absolute diagnosis as to cause from any medical professional. Additional information from the 9 year old’s doctor and school records are in process of being obtained. This child has a possible hole on the kidney, which cannot be fully determined until the child is born. The 9 year old son also had such a prenatal diagnosis and the hole naturally closed when he was born. We suspect the expected child has a high chance of having special needs.

The expected child has a different father, that has signed the necessary documents for his parental rights to be terminated. This adoption can be completed as a Michigan adoption regardless of where the adoptive family lives.

Total fees to our agency would be approximately $11,000.00.

This does not include travel, your home study and 2 supervision visits in your home state At this time, mother will consider any and all possibly interested families. . If you are interested, but cannot afford the fees, we would be interested in hearing from you and we may direct this entire adoption to different service providers, if necessary. We simply would like to find a good family for this baby.

If you are interested, please contact us as soon as possible. Please send us a Dear Birth Mother letter and a copy of your home study showing you are approved to adopt a child of this description. Please email all questions to janmsac@sbcglobal.net.

Thank you for your consideration. Jan Weaver Morning Star Adoption Center 15635 W. Twelve Mile Rd. Southfield, MI 48076

Adoption by Shepherd Care is a licensed Christian non-profit adoption agency located in Florida. I am the Executive Director of ASC and we are currently working on a situation with a 4-6 yr old child. This would be a special needs adoption because the child has a form of dwarfism. We are working with an agency that has the below situation: AA Baby was born in IN today. Need Family ASAP!!! Please email me since my phone is out due to weather. 7lbs and 15 ounces, apgars are 8 and 9. Healthy baby. Charlene is doing great!! She will sign Thursday and it will be over. Must have FBI clearance. We will need a family tomorrow or no later than Thursday when she signs as this is a direct placement so there has to be parents there. This is a great situation for someone.Agency is choosing and they are open to Singles or Married Couple. C, Indiana Age of mother: 35 years old Due Date: Baby Boy Born Race of Child: African American Gender of Child: Boy Reason for Placement Plan: C states that her other children are older and she does not wish to start over with an infant. C states that she does not believe in abortion and she knows there are families who badly want to be parents. She would like to bless a family with the child she is carrying. Birth Father Status: C states there is only one possible father. She reports they dated for about three or four months last year. She states that the last time she talked to him was in June of last year. She reports that she told him she was pregnant and was considering an adoption plan because she did not believe in abortion. She reports that he stated he did not have an opinion on what she wanted to do with the child and he would let her make that decision.

She is not sure that she can still reach him but she does have some contact information for him. We will be working on trying to locate him to see if he is willing to sign a consent. In Indiana, birth fathers are allowed to sign a consent prior to the birth of the child. If we cannot locate him or if he will not cooperate then an attorney in IN or in the state where the adoptive parents reside will have to retain to terminate the father's parental rights. Financial Status: C lives with her aunt at this time. C is unemployed right now but states she has worked for Walgreens as a retail salesperson in the past. She is currently looking for a job now and has submitted several applications to employers. Right now her aunt provides her a place to live and provides food for her. Education: C was able to complete high school. She also has 2 years of technical school where she was trained to be a medical assistant. Legal Issues: C denies legal problems in the past and at this time. Current Children: C has two other children. Al is almost 11 years old. She was born by c-section birth after C was in labor for 20 plus hours. A was in the 7lb range for birth weight and has always been healthy. Ant is 8 years old. He was born full term as well by c-section. This was a scheduled c-section so C did not have labor with him. Ant was in the 8lb range and he has always been healthy as well. Health Insurance: C does not have Medicaid at this time but will be applying for Medicaid this week. Medicaid will cover the pregnancy and labor and delivery even if she delivers before her application is approved. Medical Care: C verified her pregnancy with an "at home" test last May. C is certain that her last menstrual period was 5.8.2009 which would make her due date 2.12.10. C will be going to a clinic in the morning for a proof of pregnancy and an ultrasound. This is a free clinic so the information that we get will be limited. Substance Abuse History: C denies that she smokes. C denies consuming alcohol during the pregnancy C denies use of illicit drugs as well. C states she is not on any prescription medication at this time nor has she been during the pregnancy. Medical History: C is working on a medical history but denies birth defects or depression in her family. Physical Description: C states that she has brown eyes and black hair. She states she is 5'2" and weighs 165 lbs when she is not pregnant. She describes her skin tone as medium brown. She describes her personality as happy and easy going. She enjoys cooking for a special interest. C states that the birth father has brown eyes and black hair. She states he is approximately 5'10" and weighs approximately 200 lbs. She states he has medium brown skin tone and is an easy going and happy person as well. She is not aware of any hobbies or special interests that she has. Support System: Charlene has chosen not to share her adoption plan with her family. She is 35 years old and sounds very independent. She states that she plans to have the baby and then tell her family. She states her family will be supportive and will not fight the adoption. She prefers to wait to tell them because she doesn't want to involve them in this process. Pre and Post Placement Contact: C is open to heterosexual couples or a single female parent with a stable financial history. She is open to any race family with or without children. She wants the couple to be of Christian faith but is not specific to the denomination. C wants a closed adoption. Pre placement she might possibly be open to meeting the family at the hospital with the baby is born but only if the adoptive family feel that it is necessary. Post placement she would like pictures and updates to be sent to the agency per our policy of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months the first year and then yearly thereafter. She does not believe she will want the pictures but would like for them to be available in case she decides later that she would like them. Budget:

Agency Fee: $16,800.00 Legal Fee: $6,500.00 Includes legals and Final in IN Birth Parent Expenses: $3,000.00 Total: $26,300.00 Plus travel and my fee
