Adoption Covenant is located in West Texas. We have a very very special needs child in need of a home. This hispanic little boy was born premature. Birth mother likely engaged in drug use, additionally birth mother likely suffered abuse during pregnancy. We are looking for a family that feels called to adopt a special needs child. This child suffered significant brain damage and will likely not live to be an adult. However, he still needs a forever family. This child will qualify for SSI and Medicaid. Additionally, depending on adoptive parent income, the State of Texas will likely provide a monthly support amount of a few hundred dollars a month. Need homestudy ready family. Birth mom: JB is a twenty-seven-year-old woman who describes herself as a single Caucasian woman. Birth mom reports that her background is Italian, French, Scottish and Native American. She states that her grandmother has some Blackfoot Indian heritage. Appropriate letters are being sent to the tribe and ICWA requirements will be followed Birth father: Birth mom states birth father is unknown as their relationship was a one-time encounter and she does not know how to locate him. She states he is approximately 27 years old and of Hispanic origin. There is a birth father registry in the state of conception and also in Utah. Gender of baby: unknown Due Date: March 26, 2011 Health: Birth mom reports being drug free from all illicit drugs, alcohol and tobacco free. She reports her last alcohol consumption in July of 2010 when she found out she was pregnant. She states being generally healthy throughout her life and has not experienced any major injury, illness, medical problem, or developmental problem during her life. Her appendix ruptured in March of 2010 and is now being treated for possible blood clots in her leg. Birth mom’s mother is in remission from breast cancer and both her parents have developed Diabetes – Type II in later years.
