BABY DUE MARCH 5, 2008- Texas Birthmom is 22 years old. She has Light Brown hair, Blue/Green eyes and is of German Heritage. Birthmom admits to smoking 5 cigarettes per day. Birthmom admits to having depression. She is parenting 1 child that is 2.5 years old who has asthma. Birthmom also says that there is a family history of cancer. Birthfather is unknown. Morning Star Adoption Center is a Michigan licensed agency. We are seeking a family for a bi-racial (AA/C) child due or or about 5/24/08. The BM is a 23 year old African American woman. She has not received any prenatal care to date, but states she will go. A verification of pregnancy has been requested. She is Medicaid eligible. BF is a 35 year old Caucasian man. He is cooperative with the adoption plan. BM and her mother have bi-polar disorder. BF states no health problems. BM does not drink or use drugs. She smokes 5-10 cigarettes per day. They have one other child together - a 10 month old healthy daughter. They are seeking a married couple, but will consider alternative and single families, any religion, and would like a fully open adoption, including visits. They are open to a family living in any state. They are currently living in a garage and BM will need support with living expenses (rent, utilities, food, clothing, transportation). Total living expenses could total $12000. These are allowable expenses in Michigan and will be managed by the agency. ,Agency fees, if the adoption is completed in Michigan, would be approx. $9500 plus your travel and 2 supervision visits in your home state. Dear Adoptive Families, I’m writing today hoping to find families for two different, special situations. Kyle is seven-years-old, Caucasian, and is a high functioning autistic. He currently lives with his mother and two siblings in Wisconsin. He attends 2nd grade at the local public school, attending a pull-out special ed class two times per week. Kyle talks well and is very bright, but he does seem to “meltdown” when frustrated. His mother is seeking adoption for him because, as a single mom with other children, she feels as though she cannot devote the time and attention to him that he needs. She believes he would find all he needs in a two parent home. Sammy is six-years-old, Caucasian/Asian, and also has autism. He currently lives with his father in Texas who has full custody. Sammy is in first grade, attending mostly special ed classes including vocational and speech therapy. He is manageable, responds to direction, and is very active. Sammy’s father and step-mother are both in the military, and Sammy spends a lot of time in daycare. Both could be deployed at any time to Iraq and have come to the realization that Sammy needs more than they have to offer. They are hoping to find a two parent home where the parents are home on a regular basis. A Child's Waiting is working with an African American bm age 28 due 1/27/2008 with a biracial baby unknown gender. She is located in Ohio. She has 2 other children who reside with family members. This birthmother reports she has had previous involvement with drugs and alcohol. She suffered a brain injury as a teenager and believes that has started her addiction. She also has excema, and is on prozac for depression and schizophrenia. She reports an allergy to fish, peanuts, and walnuts. She is incarcerated until 11/21/2007 for drug possession. She reports starting prenatal care in the 2nd month. She reported to her counselor using crack and alcohol 4x's a week throughout the 4th month. The birthfather is uninvolved. She reports a domestic violence in the 4th month as well. She is looking for a married couple, who are religious, will allow the child the opportunity to attend college and would prefer this be the first child. She would like letters/pictures. She would like the names Saphire, Jacob or Benjamin to be a part of the child's name. The fee will be 11-13,000 plus some living assitance. A Child's Waiting is working with a Caucasian BM, age 22 Due 12/20/2007 with a Caucasian baby unknown gender. She is located in Ohio. She has a 1 1/2 year old daughter who's in the care of the county. This BM reports she's been diagnosed with learning disabilities. She attended special education classes through the 11th grade. She is currently incarcerated in a step down unit for burglary. She isn't set for release until 8/2009. BM reports NO drugs, alcohol but reports smoking 1-2 cigarettes daily. She started prenatal care in August. She is getting very good prenatal care. She reports having spinal curvature as a teenager. She has had precancer cells on her cervix. The bf is involved and is signing. He reports having a history of depression. He reports his mother and grandmother have been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. He said they are both on medication and attend counseling. She is looking for a 2 parent, married couple who would commit to letters/pictures and multiple visits a year. Birthmom and her two children reside with a friend in Florida. Birthmom indicates that this pregnancy is the result of a rape that occurred when she was residing in another state. NEED FAMILY ASAP FOR A BIRACIAL BABY BOY BEING DELIVERED VIA C-SECTION ON MONDAY OCTOBER 22ND IN FLORIDA Expectant mom is Caucasian, 22 yrs old, Brown hair and green eyes. She had placed a child before for adoption. She is not parenting any other children. She has been receiving limited prenatal and her Medicaid is pending. She denies the use of alcohol or tobacco with this pregnancy. She does admit to using cocaine during this pregnancy. She says not often, the boyfriend would not allow it. The Adoption Coordinator feels she has used off and on during the pregnancy. She did test positive for benzodiazepene and propoxyphene this week. She admits to taking Lortab for back pain. She notes that she has asthma and herpes. The baby will be delivered via c-section due to the herpes. She denies any mental concerns but notes her mother does have bi-polar. The expectant father is African American, 38 yrs old, Brown eyes and Black hair. He has 2 other children he is not parenting. They are still in a relationship. He feels that the expectant mom is irresponsible and unable to care for this child and he does not want to parent this child. He is very supportive of the adoption. The expectant father is listed on the paper work. He is African American and 26 yrs old. They were in a brief relationship and are no longer in contact with each other. He has not provided her with any support during her pregnancy. She feels that he will support the adoption as he does not wish to parent a child. Since she does not know his current whereabouts, the attorney will attempt to reach him to sign consents and to terminate parental rights. The expectant mom is looking for a Married Traditional family with no other children. She would like them to be of Christian faith and have a loving, committed relationship with each other. She would like them to support a semi-open adoption plan with letters and pictures following placement. If the family is open to phone calls after placement that would be wonderful but not required.
