Birth mom is Caucasian and 1/8 Cherokee Indian. Agency already has signed tribal agreement. Birthfather can be of any race. Birth mom admits to using 1 gram of crack 1 time during pregnancy. Birth mom is on Methadone for previous opiates usage. Birth mom is Hepatitis C positive. Birth mom is taking doctor prescribed meds for depression. Birth mom admits for smoking 1 pack of cigarettes a day during pregnancy. Agency is still waiting on medicals on baby. Baby is due to be discharged tomorrow. ADOPTIONS by Julia Childers, Ph.D, LCSW, a NC licensed adoption agency has the following situation. We are only looking for a NC couple, with approved home study. 24 year old Caucasian girl due with Caucasian baby end of June 2008. She is separated from the birthfather and he has not supported her during the pregnancy. His rights can be terminated in NC. This would be a direct placement. Agency would not remain involved after match of the situation. This is her 7th pregnancy. 6 healthy children have been previously placed for adoption. She is in Concord, NC. she has prenatal care, smokes. No alcohol or drugs during the pregnancy. Her expenses are @1100 per month. (rent, utilities, cable, phone, food) She needs a couple who can patient with her and visit with her. Her apt. is fully furnished. Costs are 7000 to agency. Ohio agency has a AA baby boy who is born due to be released. Birth mom has signed and left hospital. AA Baby Boy has a left arm that is under developed( he has no for arm but does have hand and fingers that move) Rt arm appears normal but may have to have casting to keep it straight. Baby was thought to have a heart condition( slight murmur and valve that will close over time.) but now appears it will correct itself . Birth mom drank and did some drugs during pregnancy but baby has been tested and is not positive, FAS has also been ruled out. No facial issues, No syndromes. All appears fine other than the physical defect. He was born 4 lbs 6 oz. Please contact me ASAP. Birth mom thought she had family but they are now backing out due to handy cap. AA Expectant mom is 34 years old. She has two years of college and an 8 year employment history behind her. She is due late February with a AA Baby Girl. She wants AA or AA/CC parents only. Her mother and sister are supportive of the adoption plan. This is an Arkansas mother so you will be able to finalize there before you leave the state. The agency fee is $10,800.00 which includes all legals ,birth mother has about $3,500.00-$4,000.00 in expenses. A Child's Waiting is working with a BM due 1-25-08 with an unknown gender 3/4 ca and 1/4 hispanic baby She is located in Ohio. She is very athletic. She participated in Lacrosse, cross country, track and basketball in high school. She also was a member of the honor roll. She is a model and also works as a receptionists at a law office. She is placing because she wants to finish college. She is getting a dual degree in molecular/genetic research. She reports having no prenatal care yet. She also reports not having any medical insurance. We are working with her to obtain some type of coverage. We will not be able to determine her eligibility. She reports smoking 2 pack of cigarettes weekly during the first trimester. She also reports drinking 40-50 drinks of hard liquor weekly. She reports no drug use. She also reports using crack cocaine several times a week through the 5th month. She reports taking special education in school for her math. A Child's Waiting is working with a married professional couple placing a child with Down's Syndrome Due 2/27/2008 with a caucasian girl located in CA They are placing because they feel it is emotionally difficult to provide for a child with special needs. Their families are aware and supportive of their decision. They report no heart concerns. They are having a 2nd ultrasound to confirm this but at this point the doctors have shared she has no other typical health concerns relating to Down's Syndrome. She reports starting prenatal care in the 5th month. She also reports no drugs, alcohol or smoking. She has private insurance. The BM reports experiencing some situational depression related to stress. She was on medication but has not needed any additional since then. Her maternal grandmother had diabetes.
