Morning Star Adoption Center has been asked to assist a single, 17 year old, expectant African American woman with the adoption planning for her child who is due to be born on or about August 3, 2008. Due to preclamcia, the doctors may decide to induce her as early as this weekend. The gender of this child is unknown. She has a 9-month-old child, and is not financially able to support another child. She is graduating high school next month and has been accepted to college. She has been receiving regular prenatal care since the 4th or 5th month of pregnancy. She is on Medicaid. There are no drugs or alcohol involved. She is a non-smoker. Birth Father is African American as well and his residence is unknown. He is not the father of her other child. She is looking for a family who lives in or near Michigan, is financially stable, and is accepting of continued contact – through pictures and letters and perhaps visits once or twice a year. She is open to singles, same sex couples, and married couples. She would like a Christian family that celebrates Christmas and has no more than two children. She would like to meet the couple. She will only consider families that are home study approved for this description of child. Total fees for a MI adoption (family can be from any state and finalize in MI) would be approximately $12,000.00 - $13,000.00, excluding travel, the home study, and 2 supervision visits. Mother is anxious to move forward. Please overnight profiles for her to consider to Morning Star Adoption Center, 15635 W. 12 Mile Rd., Southfield, MI 48076. Please include a copy of the home study page showing the type of child you are approved to adopt and a cover sheet explaining your ideal situation, gender, race, health issues considered, and contact information including phone numbers and email address. Please email any questions to msac.mi@sbcglobal.net.
