Morning Star Adoption Center, a licensed agency in Michigan, is seeking a family for an African American girl due 10/28/08. Birth mother is 20 years old, with a diagnosis of schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder. She takes Haldol daily. She drank gin and vodka regularly and smoked 3 joints of marijuana per day until her 5th month of pregnancy. At that time, she requested assistance and was placed into an adult foster care home. She smoked cigarettes until July. She has had sporadic pre-natal care. Baby appears healthy. Birth father opposes the adoption, but is unable to care for the child. He does not have stable housing and is in violation of his probation. We do not anticipate a battle from him and can proceed without his cooperation. BM is interested in receiving letters and pictures and possibly visits after placement. She is seeking a couple or single woman. She will not consider same gender couples or LDS families. She wants a practicing Christian family. She will consider any race and families with children. Total fees will be approximately $9,500, excluding the homestudy, 2 supervision visits and travel to Michigan. Michigan can complete the adoption, no matter which state you are from. Only home study ready families will be considered. If interested, please send by regular or express mail a Dear Birth Mother letter to give BM and a copy of your home study pages showing you are approved to adopt this child to: MSAC, 15635 W. Twelve Mile Rd., Southfield, MI 48076. Please email if any questions.

Full Caucasian baby BOY born 10/1 in Texas Baby BOY was born 10/1 in Texas weighing in at 7lb even. He was 19 ¼ inches long with APGARS of 8:9. He was born via c-section with no complications His drug screen was negative. He is being released from the hospital on 10/4 to the care of a Cradle Care provider. The birth mom is 26 yrs old, Caucasian, green eyes, brown hair. She has 2 small children she is parenting and does not want to add another to her struggle. She admits to using Meth everyday for the first 6 months of pregnancy after which she admitted herself to a recovery program were she remained clean the remainder of her pregnancy. She does smoke approx ½ pack of cigarettes per day. She denies the use of any alcohol with this pregnancy. There are no major or mental family concerns. The birth father is described as Caucasian with brown hair. They only had a brief relationship – he was married and remains with his wife. He was aware of the pregnancy and the adoption plan. He has told the BM to do what she wants that he will not be involved for fear his wife will find out. Effective Jan 1, 2008, agencies do not need a waiver for parental rights from a putative father. He must contact the Texas Paternity Registry within 31 days of the birth of the child or his rights are automatically terminated by default. The attorney will terminate his rights accordingly. The birth mom would like a Married Traditional family. She will consider all religions. She would like a semi-open adoption plan with pictures and letters after placement. She does not wish to meet with the adoptive family at placement. Fees for this opportunity are $43,650 for everything but finalization and travel. The birth mom is asking to view profiles ASAP.
