Premier Adoption Agency is seeking a family for a beautiful African American boy born the end of September. He is a preemie born at 30 weeks and is doing very well. We are seeking a homestudy ready family of any race, religion, and marital status. Birthmother is requesting the Agency select the adopting family but would like post adoptive contact to include a letter and pictures every 4-5 months. She has not named a birthfather and this will be a legal risk placement. Baby is healthy. He is breathing on his own, tolerating fluids, and progressing well. It is anticipated that his hospital stay will be 6-10 weeks depending on how quickly he gains weight. The birthmother denies any drug, alcohol, nicotine use during pregnancy. Her total living expenses are $3,000. Total adoption/legal fees, to include court finalization in Louisiana will be approximately $23,500. Morning Star Adoption Center, a MI agency, is seeking a family for an African American child due December 3, 2009 (gender unknown). Seeking a married couple of any race, open to many religious beliefs, will NOT consider same gender couples. She would like an open adoption, including visits, therefore, prefers a family that is located convenient to the Detroit area or willing to travel to Detroit for a relationship. She is twenty-three years old and has a four year old son and two year old daughter. She feels unable to care for additional children at this time. There are two possible fathers and they have both told her they will cooperate with the plan and sign off. She has bi-polar disorder, anxiety disorders, asthma, high blood pressure and is watched for gestational diabetes. Baby is healthy. She drank 2-3x prior to realizing she was pregnant at about two months. She has not had any alcohol or illegal drugs, other than those few drinks. She does not smoke. She is on medications for her anxiety and bi-polar disorder, that the doctor has told her are safe. Her extended family has addiction issues and she believes other family members have undiagnosed bi-polar disorder. Her father has anxiety attacks. Some living expense assistance is necessary. Total budget for living expenses (9/1 thru 6 weeks post partum) is approximately $2,000.00. Total adoption fees, if the adoption is completed in Michigan (which is possible for families from any state except New York), would be approximately $12,000.00. Total expenses would therefore be approximately $14,000, excluding the home study, 2 supervision visits, and travel. If you would like to be presented to this parent for consideration, please send a Dear Birth Mother letter and a copy of your current home study (showing you are approved to adopt a child of this description) to Morning Star Adoption Center, 15635 W.
