I am working with a licensed agency in Texas who is looking for an African American couple to adopt her baby due in January 09. The cost of the placement is approx. $20,000. We have 3 other African American birth moms due in January 09 that are open to any race of adoptive family to adopt their unborn baby. The birth mom is pregnant with twins and will only accept a Northern California couple who will be agreeable to 1 annual visit a year. ABL Adoptions has an African American birth mother due March 1, 2010 from Indiana. Ultrasound shows boy. Birth father is unknown, however is African American. She is 29 years old, is parenting 3 children, covered under Medicaid and denies any use of drugs or alcohol during pregnancy. Non smoker. She will need assistance with rent and utilities during the last couple of months of pregnancy. Birth mother desires family with at least one child, no more than 2. Cauc parents are fine, however she desires a family with either biracial or full African American children. Birth mother would like pictures/letters 2 times a year (birthday and holiday). Daniel and Wendy are 25 and 24 years old. On 9/26/03 they gave birth to Haley, who was a healthy baby girl. At 4 months of age after laying her down for a nap, Haley began having seizures. From the time they became aware and called the ambulance to the time they got her to the hospital, she had several more and ended up with severe brain damage. She has the mental and physical capability of around a 9 month old. She can crawl, pull up, and can take steps if she is holding on to the fingers of an adult. She has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Cortical Vision Impairment. She is legally blind. Daniel and Wendy also have a son Jacob who is 2 ½ years old he is healthy and on target. They both work full time because they have to in order to "pay the bills" and are not able to give her the care she needs. They have also not been able to get the help they need from outside resources. They live in Arizona Neither of them have families that are able to help. They feel that this is the best option for her is to try to find a family that could help her by adopting her. They would like an Open Adoption with visits if distance would allow and photos. Adoption Insight is currently looking for an Adoptive Family for the
following situation. Birth Mother due May 2010 with a 1/2 Caucasian
1/2 African American Baby gender unknown. Birth Mother denies all
drug and alcohol usage but does admit to smoking one cigarette a
day. Birth Father is aware of the pregnancy and is in agreement with
