Is International adoption a better way to go? Domestic adoption has it's advantages and disadvantages. What do you think?

Newspaper ads
Friday, November 10, 2006, 08:19 AM
I have started advertising in newspapers in our local area and around the country. I am going to try USA Today.

I have received some replies, but I often question the quality of the call. I have not been ripped -off, but I am being very careful.

I am considering other metholds of attracting birthmothers.

It seems to me that there must be plenty of birthmothers willing to give up their baby if they could connect to people wanting to adopt.

Looking to adopt soon,

Arlene

Counseling
Tuesday, October 31, 2006, 08:19 AM
I am wonder what experiences anyone has had in counseling.

I am looking for feedback in personal, couple or familying counseling.

In other times that I have asked this question, I have gotten a range of answers from really great to it did not help at all.

Can you relate your experience in counseling?
Thanks,
Just Wondering

Twins for Adoption?
Wednesday, October 4, 2006, 10:52 AM
What is your impression when you see a posting about a birthmother expecting twins? I wonder if there are any statistics on how many twins are adopted. I know that the idea of having two children at once is a great thought, but how much reality is there in the numbers.

Just thought I would throw that out. Any feedback?

Too old to adopt?
Monday, October 2, 2006, 10:59 AM
I was just wondering what would be an age that would be too old to adopt? Would the child want old parents when the adopted child got older? Then I thought that maybe some children with special needs and/or in foster care would appreciate someone loving and caring for them.

After thinking about it for a while, I decide that there must be a situation for all ages. Maybe you agree, maybe you don't. I would love to hear what you think. Have a wonderful fall day.
Just thinking

International Adoption Scams
Saturday, August 26, 2006, 10:14 AM
Have you received a letter from an expectant mother from Cameroon or any other know country that puts out scam letters.

My advice is not to waste a moment on those letters, unless you want to play an adoption game.

Get real, it's not there. Face it, you are not going to send any money to Africa nor buy a ticket for anyone to come here, so why bother!

Do you have any International letter experience?

Black child adoption into white famillies? White child adoption into black families?
Saturday, August 19, 2006, 09:50 AM
I saw an article about there being a problem with a social working reluctant to place a black child (I could go pc with African American, American African and Causasian, but to keep it simple, I want to just say black and white.) with a white family. What do you think? How about placing a white child into a black family?

Comments? whoooo! scary subject! Right.

Would it matter what you say if I signed Latisha or Betty.
